Kellie Day’s artwork is like a breath of fresh air. Her snow-covered mountains, aspen trees and ravens’ wings suggest a lightness of being. Motivated by years as USFS ranger surveying wilderness, fighting wildfire, traveling and climbing around the world, Kellie’s journeys simmer into her mixed-media paintings. From the simplicity of a raven in the desert, to the magnificent presence of the mountains, Kellie brings her love for her local landscape into her work.
Kellie’s current journey is as a mom living in a Colorado mountain town. She is also sharing her techniques for capturing beauty in art. She offers in-person and web-based art classes, and enjoys encouraging artists on their own journey toward creativity.
